Konstantinos Nikolaou
Specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapist – London
Konstantinos Nikolaou is a Specialist Men’s Health Physiotherapist with a clinical focus on complex male pelvic health conditions. He works with men experiencing pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction including Hard Flaccid syndrome, post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence and erectile changes, as well as urinary dysfunction and overactive bladder symptoms. These presentations are often complex, and many patients have already tried multiple approaches before seeking specialist care. Konstantinos’ role is to provide clarity, structure, and a clearly defined rehabilitation plan.
Konstantinos has worked closely with Gerard Greene for many years. They first met when Konstantinos completed his initial master’s degree at Coventry University, and he has since gone on to work alongside Gerard in both Birmingham and London. This long-standing professional relationship reflects a shared clinical approach and a consistent standard of specialist care. Patients can feel confident they are seeing a clinician who has been trained, supported, and trusted within the same specialist pathway.
His clinical approach integrates pelvic health ultrasound imaging, focused shockwave therapy, evidence-based rehabilitation, and trauma-informed care. This combination allows for a more accurate assessment, a clear explanation of symptoms, and a targeted treatment plan with measurable progress over time. His style is calm, structured, and highly individualised, which is particularly important for patients who may feel frustrated, anxious, or uncertain about their condition.
Alongside his clinical work, Konstantinos is actively involved in postgraduate education and professional development. He has contributed to teaching on focused shockwave therapy in men’s health and pelvic health ultrasound imaging, supporting clinicians in developing confidence and skill in managing complex male pelvic health presentations. He is also engaged in men’s health advocacy, working to reduce stigma and improve awareness around conditions that are often under-discussed.
Konstantinos continues to develop his role within specialist men’s health through advanced training in shockwave therapy and ultrasound imaging, alongside involvement in teaching, course development, and building links with prostate cancer support networks. His trajectory is toward senior clinical and leadership roles within specialist men’s health physiotherapy.
