Introduction

London Men's Health Physiotherapy is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Health information and clinical notes relating to your treatment

Why we collect your data

We collect and process your data for the following reasons:

  • To provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment
  • To manage your appointments via our online booking system (JaneApp)
  • To communicate with you about your appointments and treatment
  • To process payments
  • To comply with our legal and professional obligations as regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

How long we keep your data

Medical and healthcare records are kept for a minimum of 7 years after your last appointment if you were 18 or over at the time of your first consultation. If you were under 18, records are kept for 25 years. This is a legal requirement.

Contact information is kept for the duration of your treatment and for a reasonable period afterwards for administrative purposes.

Your clinical notes

Your clinical notes are highly sensitive and contain private information about your health. They are governed by the Data Protection Act 2018, the HCPC competency framework and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards. They are never shared without your explicit consent. Any misuse or unauthorised sharing will result in immediate disciplinary action and referral to the HCPC.

Our appointment system — JaneApp

We use JaneApp as our practice management and online booking system. JaneApp is a secure, encrypted platform used widely in healthcare. Your data stored within JaneApp is protected by industry standard security measures. You can read JaneApp's privacy policy at jane.app/privacy.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymous data about your visit including pages viewed, time spent on the site and your approximate location. It does not collect any personally identifiable information.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

By using our website you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Payments

We take payments through WorldPay. WorldPay is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We do not store your card details.
